Chronology

Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails unite against a powerful new enemy, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers they’ve never encountered before. With the upper hand, Team Sonic must seek an unlikely alliance. The creators of the previous films have cited Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) as inspiration. The film also draws on narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993).
